Heidelberg University Hospital processes its payment advice notes automatically

To process payment advice notes automatically in the SAP system, the Heidelberg University Hospital has engaged the services of tangro, provider of add-ons for automated document receipt in SAP. The SAP add-on developed specifically for day-to-day use in hospitals and clinics, tangro PA-HC (now 'tangro PA-DEB'), saves the general ledger accounting department a lot of time when it comes to entering the data from a payment advice note in the SAP system.

tangro PA-HC automatically assigns the individual items of a scanned payment advice note to the corresponding vendor invoices in SAP. So it’s no longer necessary to enter the individual items manually, as was previously the case. What's more, the application ensures that all incoming payment advice notes are taken into account and that the legal requirements for the health insurance companies are observed.

By providing more efficient work processes and shorter waiting and throughput times, tangro PA-HC enables Heidelberg University Hospital to save time and money, reduce susceptibility to errors and enable instant cash flow planning.

 "The employees in General Ledger Accounting now process 95% of the payment advice notes automatically with the SAP add-on tangro PA-HC," explains Heiko Buetschle, Head of General Ledger and Accounts Receivable Accounting at Heidelberg University Hospital.
