tangro GLB: Automated entry of entry certificates

tangro GLB enters certificates of entry in SAP automatically, reducing processing times to a minimum. The solution automatically assigns certificates to the corresponding shipments and compares the content with the delivery document.

A list view provides a user-friendly summary of all relevant shipments and whether certificates of entry have been received or are still outstanding. This allows the user to see at a glance if a document has not arrived or a confirmation was incomplete. With tangro GLB, processing certificates of entry is fast, transparent and legally compliant.

With effect from 1 October 2013, all businesses subject to German VAT law must furnish evidence, in the form of a document, that goods shipped from Germany to other EU countries reached their intended destination. This new requirement imposes an enormous additional workload on exporters. For each shipment of goods a 'certificate of entry' must be received and a corresponding document must be created in SAP. All this must be manually checked and processed, demanding a lot of human resources.

tangro GLB enters certificates of entry in SAP automatically and covers all standard incoming channels and can process paper documents and documents sent by e-mail, fax server or EDI. Standard forms like CMR bills of lading and other forms are entered automatically. tangro GLB can also use electronic tracking data as a form of evidence in SAP. The solution will soon also allow certificates of entry to be sent and then monitored.

In contrast to other common solutions used to process documents electronically, all processing including document analysis takes place directly within the SAP system. For interpretation, the system does not require upstream system environments that are expensive to purchase and complex to maintain. Data is transferred directly without interfaces so that it is not necessary to transfer master and transaction data.
