Process any incoming documents
tangro presents the new Inbound module, tangro DoC (Document CheckIn), for automated processing of general documents. tangro DoC is used to electronically enter documents received on paper, by fax or e-mail and assign them directly to the right business process in the SAP system.
As this process is mostly automated, processing is much faster and the data quality is improved significantly. Plus, the document is linked to the associated Business Object in SAP to ensure structured storage. All processes concerning the documents are transparent and traceable.
Companies receive a lot of different documents by post that have to be entered and stored. Performed manually, this procedure is not only time-consuming but often leads to chaotic storage involving long searches for individual documents that may even be lost completely.
tangro DoC enters the incoming document automatically in accordance with the document type set, intelligently recognises content, compares it with existing SAP data records and assigns the document to the right business process or customer right away. As this entire process can take place with no manual intervention, tangro DoC enables you to considerably increase effectiveness and save on costs. The structured storage with correct assignment to the existing company data also ensures that the document can be found again quickly at any time.
Documents received on paper are scanned using tangro DoC and processed using intelligent text recognition. Alternatively, data is captured from the fax server or transferred from e-mail attachments (PDF). tangro DoC recognises content intelligently and compares it with existing SAP data records. Upon successful assignment, the original document is linked to the Business Object in SAP via ArchiveLink. As the original document is stored in its own table, it can be displayed again at any time – even if the SAP archive is not available. All procedures are therefore fully traceable at any time.
The settings for assigning documents can be freely defined to suit corporate structures and individual requirements. This applies to both the weighting of the criteria used to perform the assignment, the criteria themselves and the archiving. This ensures that processing meets individual needs in every respect and storage is performed the way the company wants.
Unlike the usual solutions for electronic document archiving, the entire process, including document analysis, takes place right in the SAP system. Companies therefore benefit from all the advantages of full embedding in SAP. Upstream system environments, which are expensive to buy and difficult to maintain, are not required. What's more, data is transferred directly without interfaces, so there is no need to transfer master data and transaction data. This reduces maintenance work to a minimum and prevents inconsistencies when synchronizing the data. In addition, there is little need for training because users work in the familiar SAP environment with tangro.
