Invoice verification SAP-embedded
The chemicals company DGW (Deutsche Gasrußwerke) decided to base its invoice verification on tangro IM in order to get away from problems with interfaces and peripheral systems. Using this add-on embedded in SAP the Dortmund manufacturer of carbon black has been able to optimise its processes so successfully that other solutions from tangro are now being used in purchasing, warehousing and logistics, and order processing. "We opted for tangro IM for invoice verification because this system is embedded in SAP," reports Reinhard Otto, Head of Accounting and Authorised Signatory at DGW.
Implementation of the tangro solution was effected at record speed – it only took three days until tangro IM was in production. Staff training was also completed quickly since user guidance in tangro is based on the SAP user interface. Around 12,000 documents have to be processed in each year, which in most cases reach the mail room as paper documents and then have to be scanned in before being checked and posted.
Because the tangro solution is embedded in SAP, all ERP data required for invoice verification are now available in real time. All goods receipt data can also be viewed directly, meaning that invoice verification can be performed with direct reference to incoming goods. tangro IM thus speeds up all the processes in the accounts department at DGW while providing unlimited transparency and traceability. DGW is more than satisfied with the rate of recognition. Only occasional data maintenance is required. And even then processing is simple and fast, since the data can be easily updated in the mask.
