New: Order Confirmations automatically
tangro launches the new SAP add-on, tangro OC (Order Confirmation), for entering and checking order confirmations. tangro OC automatically reads out and enters data from the order confirmation and compares it with the order data on which it is based.
Order confirmations are processed so quickly and efficiently that throughput times are significantly reduced. In combination with the other tangro products for document entry, tangro OC helps to optimise the purchase-to-pay process. Plus, the solution takes on considerable meaning in terms of legal contract matters, as conditions in the order confirmation that differ from the order can be spotted quickly thanks to the automated entry. Objections can therefore be raised immediately, preventing differing values from becoming binding.
The order confirmations to be processed are scanned at the specified workstations and read out via OCR. tangro OC captures the content of confirmations received via fax server and e-mail attachments directly. The word list this creates and the image of the order confirmation are transferred to SAP. Archiving can take place via ArchiveLink if required, although this is not essential for processing.
The order confirmation is analysed using freeform recognition. tangro OC intelligently recognises content such as the order number and material number, as well as quantities, prices and the delivery date, and compares them with the data from the associated order. New values can then be copied over or rejected as necessary. The order data is then entered automatically in the corresponding SAP tabs.
tangro OC also supports processing of orders for which the price is not known when the order is placed. The order is generated with a temporary cent amount as the price, which tangro OC can later replace automatically with the correct value.
In tangro OC the entire process, including document analysis, takes place right in the SAP system – with all the benefits of full embedding in SAP: time-consuming and expensive upstream system environments are not required, nor are interfaces for importing or exporting data.
